Guess who fell off a treadmill today?
This gal!
Finishing up a medium black Dunkin Donuts coffee. The morning was rough, during which I underwent the first treadmill run of my adult life. I'm very glad I bought a used model off of a friend because I would not want strangers in the gym to have seen that fail of epic proportions. For starters, saying I went for a "run" is a generous statement. I can't actually run for longer than two minutes or my lungs start to seize up like an old man's. So I go back and forth running as long as I can and walking the rest of the time, making the whole thing take up about ten minutes. How the biggest losers do it out of nowhere I couldn't begin to tell you. I thought my heart was going to give up and bail right out of my chest. In case you're wondering what this Herculean effort yielded me, it was 70 calories burned.
Some numbers for ya, I'm 26, this morning I weighed myself at 242.6, and my calorie goals per day are 1200 + exercise (sort of). I don't usually eat my calories back unless it seems obvious and necessary. I don't never exercise; I usually practice karate 2-3 hours a week. I'm an orange belt, which could be considered late beginner or early intermediate in rank. I haven't gone for two weeks, though. When I have to miss karate for illness or whatever reason, I tend to backslide on my health in general.
Gotta run to an appointment! Well, not run. Definitely not run.
